For furnishing products, and especially for made-to-measure products, it is essential that the design is done in a workmanlike manner, capable of communicating to the client in a clear and realistic manner the extent of the project and its aesthetic result.
An example of this is the excellent work carried out by our point of sale “Perla Arredamenti” in Assisi, which, thanks to its team of professional architects, offers its customers the service of being able to visualise the final result of the project with photorealistic images, which is extremely important for helping customers imagine the rooms in their own homes.
In this example, a modern Manhattan external sliding door in transparent bronze glass, profiles in black finish and customisation with the GRID collection: there is very little difference between the preliminary design and the actual photos once the work has been completed!

This project concerns the interesting renovation of an apartment located in an Umbertino palace in the heart of Rome, where the main need was to modernize a space characterized by high brick barrel ceilings, and to bring natural light into the central room, used as a kitchen / living room, without windows.
The two HenryGlass doors have become real light sources and furnishing elements at the same time, thus dividing the living area from the large bathroom behind.
The choice of the Manhattan line in black finish combined with extralight frosted glass accompanied by refined English-style partitions, gives the space a minimal elegance and a formal cleanliness with a timeless taste.

Environments made with HenryGlass doors by Falegnamo (Bari)
Environment 1 – “The choice is simplicity”
If a very large room must be divided into several independent spaces but there is only one window, using a transparent wall ensures that natural light will also reach all spaces making them brighter and more pleasant. This concept is perfectly expressed in this house where there was a need to create a sort of glass corridor to separate the sleeping area from the living area.
The kitchen has also been separated by a glass corner which can be open if necessary. The choice was to aim for simplicity by using only extralight clear glass. The high level of transparency reduces the visual separation between the different functional areas of the house, bringing in them a lot of brightness too. Although the large space has been divided into three rooms, the effect of the open space remains unchanged thanks to the clear glass. Furthermore, the corridor receives light and is not closed and oppressive.
Environment 2 – “The answer to all architectural needs”
HenryGlass offers a wide range of sliding door models to meet the most varied architectural needs. Glass allows great creativity by offering extremely functional solutions for dividing rooms.
In this apartment, the dealer chose to close the kitchen with a pocket door without jamb for an essential and clean effect. The glass is ideal for blocking the spread of odors without completely closing the view. The satin bronze finish, despite its simplicity, elegantly recalls the colors of the environment.
Environment 3 – “The glass door: a piece of furniture”
Nowadays, the glass door is also widely used in the sleeping area: you can create a walk-in closet by installing some sliding glass doors, which have the advantage of taking up less space than plasterboard walls.
Master bathroom are increasingly divided by glass doors as in the case of this apartment. The pocket door without frame in clear graphite glass elegantly furnishes the room without taking away perspective and brightness. The natural light passes through the spaces enhancing the environment without weighing it down.
In fact, a glass door, in addition to performing its closing function, is first a piece of furniture.
Environment 4 – “A valuable element within the walls of the house”
The mirrored doors, elegant and minimal but at the same time very functional, are the ideal solution to visually expand the spaces and create depth within the rooms, adding a valuable element to the rest of the furniture.
HenryGlass mirror doors, always made to measure, are available in different models and colors. Ideal for small spaces, sliding doors allow to broaden the visual perception of the space thanks to the full-length mirror, very useful for entrances, corridors, bathrooms, and walk-in closets.
In the living area, mirror doors can create an extremely interesting play of light and perspective.
To enrich and highlight a minimal and essential style, the best choice is the all-glass Vitra door, which adapts perfectly to modern and hi-tech context thanks to the absence of jambs, perimeter profiles and visible technical element.
This type of door will help not only to divide the space into different environments, but also to completely change the interior design.
The magic of reflective glass – Arch. Domenico Altamura
It would be really nice to have a wall in the house that, if necessary, reveals or hides the corridor in the sleeping area or the kitchen, the office, the walk-in closet …
You can do it with HenryGlass: in this house in the province of Bari the architect has inserted a large Manhattan sliding door in reflective grey glass.
The peculiarity of reflective glass is precisely that prevents or allows viewing through the glass leaf as the brightness of the environment varies.
As in this case, if you are in the living room and the light of the corridor of the sleeping area is off, the vision through the glass is prevented because the leaf is completely reflective.
At the same time, when the brightness of the two environments is inverted (for example at night, when the corridor is artificially illuminated and the living area is completely dark), the optical response of the reflecting glass will also be inverted and the corridor will magically be completely visible.

The decor of this loft in the province of Treviso fascinates because it refers to the distant times of New York in the 1950s. In such a particular context, the elements of separation between the various environments become fundamental as they furnish and balance.
Thanks to the minimal design based on the sober and essential lines of glass and black metal, the full-height Manhattan sliding doors perfectly interpret the industrial style. The choice of these materials in stark contrast highlights the shades of the exposed brick, rust, concrete and wood present in the background.
Transparency expands the beauty of the doors that are transformed into movable walls, connecting or separating this large living area.
Alessandro Mendini is a great master in the panorama of design and architecture, and we had the great fortune to walk a piece of his professional path together.
Died in Milan in 2019, he left HenryGlass a unique legacy of inestimable cultural value: the precious Collection “Labirinto”, decorations that that are always profoundly current and contemporary. As Mendini is an author who contributed to the rise of made in Italy in the world, his creations are impervious to the passage of time and fashions. They go beyond fashions, surpass styles and tastes, managing to enrich and give value to any environment.
Mirrored decorations of Labirinti Collection designed by Mendini stand out on the large dove lacquered sliding doors. The result is a glass wall of strong aesthetic impact where color and light are boldly showed, communicating the great expressive power typical of the works designed by the architect.

The single family villa in Reggio Emilia, designed by LSA architecture studio, follows the rules of modern-minimalist style for its pure lines, basic geometries and elegant colors.
The Vitra line sliding door system with Inside track stands out in the kitchen environment for its refinement and innovative design: a series of sliding doors in snow-white lacquered glass conceal the kitchen top, creating a continuous partition that perfectly harmonizes with the furniture.
Being able to mask the kitchen is becoming a trend for high-level target houses.
Our client also installed a double sliding glass door in black lacquered finish in the living area, to strongly separate the environments.
The client, with a refined taste, wanted to give personality to the dependence of his home, used as a relaxation area with a wellness center.
The architect has thought of the HenryGlass glass doors to create a spacious, bright and functional environment. The choice of rigorously transparent glasses customized by the Dune decoration, has resulted in a space that gives anyone the feeling of lightness and elegance.
The project was requested by our New York client, CFA designs, to meet the needs of the architects involved in the renovation of this residence: the MKCA studio, Michael K Chen Architecture of New York.
The residence is located along Manhattan’s famous Park Avenue. It is a 280 sq. m private apartment that has been renovated and intended for family use.
The Architects thought of two glass partitions to delimit some areas of the house: sliding and swing doors with frosted glass for the kitchen area and sliding doors with extra clear glass for the dining room. Doors divide spaces but at the same time they allow light to pass through.
All doors are framed on four sides and have horizontal crosspieces for the dining area, taking up a typical characteristic of New York private houses.
After analyzing the architect’s drawings, a completely custom product was studied to meet their requests. The project was therefore conceived and realized completely ad hoc by implementing vertical profiles with a horizontal profile that allows the sliding of the doors.
Thanks to the track completely recessed in the false ceiling, each technical element is hidden, making the product essential and clean as requested by the architects.
Find out more about this project on the MKCA website.
